GWAR Launch 'Slave Pit Television'

May 30, 2006

In anticipation of GWAR's very busy summer, the band have launched Slave Pit Television. Thats right kiddies, now you can enjoy the latest updates and behind-the-scenes insanity that only the freaks at Slave Pit Inc. can provide you with. "For years GWAR has attempted to get on television in any way possible, and now, thanks to the Internet, we can pretend that we have succeeded," GWAR leader and frontman Oderous Urungus commented. "Sure, it's not really a TV show, but you can fix up your computer to look like one, and no one will be the wiser!"

Every week a new clip will go up; this week features a chunk of the new GWAR video "Bloodbath and Beyond", and every week another hideous blob of GWAR propaganda will plop into your deserving lap. Check it out at this location.

GWAR are set to release their 20-year retrospective DVD, "Blood Bath and Beyond", on June 20 through DRT Entertainment. The release will be hosted by Oderous and band manager Sleazy P. Martini taking you back to the best memories from 20 years of total destruction featuring live bootlegs, tons of gore and a bonus Oderous-directed alien porn. The band recently put the finishing touches on their upcoming album, tentatively titled "Go to Hell" and produced by Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD),which is set to be released in late August.

The band will be on the road all summer long as a part of the Sounds Of The Underground tour, playing alongside AS I LAY DYING, IN FLAMES, TRIVIUM, CANNIBAL CORPSE, and many others.
